A seat for a vehicle, wherein a holder (5) comprises stay lock members (8, 14) capable of locking the vertical movement of a head rest stay (3) at a suitable vertical position by engaging with an engagement section (3a) of the head rest stay (3). The stay lock members (8, 14) comprise: a flexible holder (14) having hook sections (14a) capable of engaging with the engagement section (3a) from the peripheral direction of the head rest stay (3), by moving downwards, and capable of separating from the engagement section (3a) by moving upwards; and an operation member (8) capable of moving the flexible holder (14) in either the up or down direction. |
