The present invention relates to a smokescreen bomb capable of providing a battlefield effect, in which the smokescreen bomb is fired by a launcher in a process of executing an advanced simulation training employing a MILES system, and then is exploded in the air to generate a smokescreen, thereby providing the effect that closely resembles real combat. The smokescreen bomb includes a cartridge having a cylindrical cartridge body which is open at the top and whose inner diameter is reduced to form a stepped portion at the inner lower end, a propelling charge chamber formed in the space in the stepped portion of the cartridge body and filled with a propelling charge, and a primer inserted in a through-hole communicating from the center of the lower end of the cartridge body to the lower end of the propelling charge chamber; a lower packing seated on an upper portion of the stepped portion of the cartridge body and formed of one or two disc layers, having a through-hole formed at the center; a smokescreen charge assembly inserted in the open upper portion of the cartridge body and having a lower end connected with a retarder pipe for retarding transfer of flame from the propelling charge to a filled smokescreen charge so as to delay the emission of smokescreen; an upper packing inserted in the upper portion of the cartridge body, in which the smokescreen charge assembly is placed, to close the cartridge body; and a lid pressing the upper packing against the upper end of the smokescreen charge assembly to seal the upper end of the cartridge body. |
