PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce influences due to contaminants adhering to an oxidant electrode.SOLUTION: A fuel cell power generation system includes: a fuel cell having a fuel electrode and an oxidant electrode for generating the power by means of reaction between a fuel supplied to the fuel electrode and an oxidant gas supplied to the oxidant electrode; an oxidant gas supplier that supplies the oxidant gas to the oxidant electrode; and a controller that selectively executes a first mode to control the oxidant gas supplier to supply the air as the oxidant gas to the oxidant electrode in a state that the power is not supplied from the fuel cell to the outside of the fuel cell power generation system and a second mode to control the oxidant gas supplier to supply the oxidant gas so that the oxygen partial pressure on the oxidant electrode is higher than that in the first mode in a state that the power is not supplied from the fuel cell to the outside of the fuel cell power generation system. |
