PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finely control a piezoelectric element and save power consumption.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge apparatus comprises: an auxiliary power supply circuit 50 including a plurality of first capacitive elements and a plurality of second capacitive elements; power source wiring 510, 511 and 512 to which voltages 0 V/6, 1 V/6 and 2 V/6 are applied; and a connection path selection part 30 that electrically connects a piezoelectric element 40 and the auxiliary power supply circuit 50 using the power source wiring 510, 511 and 512. The auxiliary power supply circuit 50 alternately switches between a connection state A where a plurality of the first capacitive elements and a plurality of the second capacitive elements connected in parallel are electrically connected in series, and a connection state B where a plurality of the first capacitive elements and a plurality of the second capacitive elements connected in series are electrically connected in parallel. |
