PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a multilayer ceramic capacitor in which increase in the size of an external electrode, due to formation of the external electrode in a state of mother laminate, can be suppressed.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a multilayer ceramic capacitor 1 having external electrodes 4 connected with an internal electrode 3 on both end faces of a laminate 1a, where a dielectric layer 2 and the internal electrode 3 are laminated alternately, includes steps of: forming a cut groove 13; giving an external conductor paste 12 becoming the external electrode 4 in the cut groove 13; cutting an internal conductor paste layer 11 by cutting a mother laminate 1A in a direction perpendicular to the cut groove 13, and exposing the internal conductor paste layer 11 to the surface thus cut; and forming the laminate 1a of a plurality of multilayer ceramic capacitors 1 from the mother laminate 1A by cutting the external conductor paste 12 in the cut groove 13 into two. |
