PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device suppressing deterioration in display quality.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises: an array substrate including pixel electrodes each provided with a slit, and common electrodes facing the plurality of pixel electrodes with insulator films therebetween; a counter substrate arranged facing the array substrate; and a liquid crystal layer formed of a negative type liquid crystal material held between the array substrate and the counter substrate. The array substrate and the counter substrate have a pair of alignment films in contact with the liquid crystal layer. A ratio of liquid crystal capacitance to the alignment film capacitance of the array substrate (liquid crystal capacitance/alignment film capacitance) is equal to or less than a predetermined value. |
