In order to produce tab wires for forming connections between electrodes provided to each of a plurality of solar cells, firstly, an aluminium wire (200) is subjected to deformation processing to produce a moulded tab wire (202). The moulded tab wire (202) is subsequently subjected to annealing to produce an annealed tab wire (204). Furthermore, a solvent is used to polish a surface of the annealed tab wire (204) to produce a chemically-polished tab wire (206).
