An ashless-coal production device (1) is provided with: a preheater (4) which heats a solvent; an extraction tank (6) in which a coal component that is soluble in the solvent is extracted from a slurry obtained by mixing coal with the solvent heated by the preheater (4); a supply pipe (10) which passes through the preheater (4), and has one end thereof connected to the extraction tank (6); a lock hopper (5) which is connected, further towards a downstream side than the preheater (4), to the supply pipe (10), and which supplies the coal to the supply pipe (10) while pressurizing a portion (17) supplying the supply pipe (10) such that solvent backflow does not occur; a gravitational settling tank (7) in which a solution portion including the coal component is separated from the slurry having had the coal component extracted therefrom by the extraction tank (6); and a solvent separator (8) in which the solvent is evaporated and separated from the solution portion separated by the gravitational settling tank (7), to obtain ashless coal. |
