PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane type compressor capable of more reliably reducing the back flow of refrigerant gas, etc. and the reverse rotation of a rotating shaft while actualizing a reduction in the manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: In the vane type compressor, a supply chamber 17f is formed at the rear end of a rotating shaft 9. A rear side plate 5 has an upstream passage 5m extending upward from the lower end of a discharge chamber 16. An upstream opening 5x of the upstream passage 5m is opened to a bearing surface 5b. The rotating shaft 9 has an axial hole 9a and a radial hole 9b. A rotation opening 9x of the radial hole 9b is opened to a shaft peripheral face 9c. In response to the rotation of the rotating shaft 9, when the upstream opening 5x and the rotation opening 9x are opposed to each other, the upstream passage 5m and the supply chamber 17f are communicated with each other via a rotation passage 9, and when the upstream opening 5x and the rotation opening 9x are not opposed to each other, the upstream passage 5m and the supply chamber 17f are not communicated with each other via the rotation passage 9. The rear side plate 5 also has two downstream passages 5p via each of which the supply chamber 17f and each back-pressure chamber 40 are communicated with each other. |
