PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slave unit of a cordless telephone allowing an information terminal to be connected to a telephone line via a master unit by connecting the information terminal via a predetermined interface, and to allow the information terminal to send and receive voice data for long period of time by largely reducing the power consumption during a standby mode of the slave unit.SOLUTION: A slave unit 202 of a cordless telephone sends and receives radio waves with a master unit 100 connected to a telephone line through a radio channel. The slave unit 202 has an interface to connect to a predetermined information terminal 300. The slave unit 202 sets reception timing asynchronously with transmission timing of the master unit 100 in a standby mode and establishes sending-receiving synchronism with the master unit 100 when connecting the information terminal 300 to the telephone line.
