The device is designed such that side walls (10) at respective sides of a vehicle i.e. rail vehicle, are in connection with one another in upper and lower areas by struts, where the side walls run parallel to each other and are deformed in a longitudinal travel direction. The struts are connected with one another in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle by accordion-like material strips and are relocatable relative to each another. Each side wall is designed as a bellows-type side wall, and includes frame rails that run in a vertical direction in an installed condition. |
