<p>The steering lock (1) has motor (10) which is mounted on a base plate (5). A drive wheel (21) has tooth which is engaged with gear wheel (24). The lock pins (30,30') are supported in locking pin bearings (3,3a-3c) for locking a steering axle by actuators (40,40') which are engaged with stroke element of drive wheel. The drive wheel is optionally arranged outside the steering axle based on position of locking pin bearings and lock pins. An independent claim is included for a method for mechanically securing locking pin of electric steering lock.</p> |
