A data capture system comprises an application adapted to provide a graphical user interface (28) for inputting data into, and for interrogating data stored in, a database, the application additionally comprising an object-based animation program permitting a user of the client computer to create and/or render an animation by positioning and moving objects (55) in the graphical user interface (28), and wherein a server client computer are operatively interconnected such that the properties attributed to objects (55) in the animation are stored in the database to enable the animation to be re-rendered reproducibly on a second client computer. The invention is particularly applied to the recording of data relating to road traffic accidents. |
