摘要 A user equipment (36) herein resolves timing ambiguities associated with when the user equipment (360 is to perform assisted positioning measurements. The user equipment (36) receives assistance data that indicates positioning occasion periodicities of a first cell and a reference cell, and that indicates a positioning occasion timing offset between those cells. The user equipment (36) performs signal detection at candidate timing offsets surrounding the indicated positioning occasion timing offset, to determine which candidate timing offset has the greatest probability of being the actual positioning occasion timing offset between the first cell and the reference cell. The user equipment (36) may then time assisted positioning measurements for the first cell based on the candidate timing offset determined as most likely being the actual timing offset, rather than necessarily timing those measurements based on the offset indicated in the assistance data.
