PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily identify the location of a problem and prepare a problem report easily so that a person who browses the problem report is able to intuitively and easily grasp the location of the problem.SOLUTION: A software execution monitoring apparatus includes: a software execution unit 100; and a software monitoring unit 200 for monitoring software executed by the software execution unit 100. The software monitoring unit 200 includes: an image acquisition unit 220 which acquires image data of a screen displayed on a display device 400 when the software execution unit 100 executes the software; a peripheral information acquisition unit 230 which acquires peripheral information, which is information on a state of software and hardware at the time when the image acquisition unit 220 acquires the image data; and a storage image processing unit 250 which adds the peripheral information to the image data so as to display the content of the peripheral information acquired by the peripheral information acquisition unit 230 together with an image based on the image data acquired by the image acquisition unit 220.
