PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a sense of incompatibility that an observer feels due to the color deviation of a display color in an image display device.SOLUTION: An image display device includes: display means having a plurality of pixels constituted of sub-pixels in multiple colors for displaying an image based on input image data by transmitting light from a light source with a transmission factor set for each sub-pixel; setting means for setting the transmission factor of each sub-pixel of the display means in accordance with the pixel value of each pixel of the image data; and acquisition means for acquiring the luminance of the transmission light of each pixel of the display means. The setting means corrects the transmission factor of each sub-pixel such that a difference between the color of transmission light and a target color based on the pixel value becomes small about the pixel the luminance of whose transmission light is equal to or more than a threshold. |
