PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the solid-liquid separation capacity suitably even in a prolonged operation.SOLUTION: In a solid-liquid separator 1, sludge S can be separated from treated water W because sludge, the solid content, sediments when raw water introduced from an introduction pipe 12 into the solid-liquid separation tank 10 moves downward on an inclined passage 25 from the upper-side opening 26 to the lower-side opening 27. An end part of a treated water discharge pipe 14 smaller in cross sectional area than the inclined passage 25 is connected to the upper side of the lower-side opening 27 of the inclined passage 25. The configuration causes the treated water W to be discharged out of the treated water discharge pipe 14 and prevents the sludge S to be separated by sedimentation from flowing into the treated water discharge pipe 14, allowing reliable solid-liquid separation. In the solid-liquid separator 1, since solid-liquid separation occurs while the raw water L flows downward in the inclined passage 25, residence of the sedimentation-separated sludge S in the inclined passage 25 can be prevented, allowing keeping the solid-liquid separation capacity suitably even in a prolonged operation. |
