PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a periphery monitoring apparatus for a working machine capable of urging an operator to confirm that a person existing in a prescribed range around the working machine leaves the prescribed range.SOLUTION: A periphery monitoring apparatus 100B includes an alarm output section 7 for outputting an alarm to an operator. The periphery monitoring apparatus 100B further includes working machine state determination means 14 for determining a state of a shovel 60, human existence determination means 12 for determining the existence of a person around the shovel 60, and alarm control means 13 for controlling the alarm output section 7. The alarm control means 13 makes the alarm to be output when it is determined that the shovel 60 is not in the state that working is possible and a person exists around the shovel 60, and it is determined that the shovel 60 is in the state that working is possible after that. |
