PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which provides sufficient silencing effect while appropriately coping with changes in environment using an active silencing system 100 equipped with a silencing control unit 61 which provides silencing control by generating an interference sound signal for having a speaker 4 generate interference sound in antiphase with noise from a detection signal of a first microphone 1 using a silencing control filter h(z).SOLUTION: Silencing control is started when intensity of a detection signal from a first microphone 1 in a specific frequency range to be the silencing target exceeds a predetermined silencing determination value. When intensity of a detection signal from a second microphone 7 in the specific frequency range exceeds a predetermined update determination value while the silencing control is being provided by a silencing control unit 61, the silencing control is halted and a control parameter updating process for updating control parameters b[n], c[n] for the silencing control unit 61 is carried out while predetermined update sound is being sounded by a speaker 4. |
