The present invention relates to an air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle which has a temperature detector on a surface of an evaporator to not be directly affected by cold air, discharged when air passing through the evaporator is heat-exchanged, to prevent the temperature detector from being frozen by the cold air. The air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle which includes a compressor compressing a vaporized refrigerant into a high-temperature, high-pressure gas; a condenser liquefying the high-temperature, high-pressure refrigerant; an expansion valve changing the high-temperature, high-pressure refrigerant into low-temperature, low-pressure, and wet saturated steam by throttling; and an evaporator exchanging heat so that the low-temperature, low-pressure refrigerant absorbs evaporative latent heat required for evaporation from surrounding air, wherein the temperature detector (10) disposed at a location not directly affected by the cold air, discharged when wind generated by a ventilator is passed and heat-exchanged, to measure the temperature of the cold air to prevent the surface of the evaporator (2) from being frozen. |
