<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition device which materializes spark discharge having high discharge current with a cheap and simple method and improves combustibility of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An ignition device includes: an ignition plug 101 which has a high-voltage electrode 101a and an outer electrode 101b opposite to each other via a gap, generates spark discharge in the gap and, thereby, ignites combustible gaseous mixture in a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine; an ignition coil device 102 which generates a prescribed high voltage, supplies the high voltage to the high-voltage electrode 101a and forms a course of the spark discharge in the gap; a high frequency power source 103 which has a band-pass filter and supplies an AC current to the course of the spark discharge; and a control device 104 which controls operation time of the high frequency power source 103. Therein, the band-pass filter causes frequencies from 1 MHz to 4 MHz to pass therethrough.</p> |
