PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that is able to shorten photographing intervals in the use of an electronic front blade, and to provide a focal plane shutter.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging element; a control section configured to cause an electronic front blade in a pseudo manner by sequentially resetting the accumulating electronic charges of the imaging element for each pixel line; and a focal plane shutter. The focal plane shutter includes: a substrate having an aperture from which the imaging element is exposed; a mechanical type rear blade configured to open/close the aperture; a rear blade drive lever configured to drive the rear blade; an electromagnet that is able to attract and hold the rear blade drive lever; an urging member configured to urge the rear blade drive lever so that the lever retracts from the electromagnet; a set member configured to bring the rear blade drive lever into contact with the electromagnet so that the rear blade retracts from the aperture; a light shielding member configured to open/close the aperture; and a light shielding member drive lever configured to drive the light shielding member by interlocking with the set member. |
