PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite-based stainless foil for solar battery substrate use which can keep a hardness adequate to suppress the buckling in conveying the foil when manufacturing a solar battery by a roll-to-roll method, and which is superior in the easiness of conveying the foil.SOLUTION: A ferrite-based stainless foil for solar battery substrate use comprises 14-24 mass% of Cr and 0.1-0.6 mass% of Nb. The ferrite-based stainless foil comprises 2.0 mass% or less of Mo additionally, and has a Vickers hardness of Hv250-450. The ferrite-based stainless foil has a Vickers hardness of Hv250-450 even after having gone through a thermal treatment in which the ferrite-based stainless foil is held in a temperature range of 450-650°C for one minute or longer. |
