PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for switching displays of a vehicle rearward image that are capable of eliminating display of a redundant image, in a system for two-screen displaying right and left rearward photographic images of a vehicle on a monitor.SOLUTION: When two-screen displaying right and left rearward photographic images of a vehicle on a monitor 30 by using a display control section 12, and in the case where a travel lane determination section 13 determines that the vehicle travels on an endmost lane, display can be eliminated of a redundant image in which other vehicle that should alert the attention of a driver is not imaged, by providing a display switching control section 14 for controlling the display control section 12 so that a display area of a direction in which a lane is not present at the side is scaled down, when displaying the photographic image, out of two display areas displaying the right and left rearward photographic images. |
