PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device configured to properly determine an abnormal output state of a power source when a selection can be made as to whether an AC voltage is superimposed on a DC voltage, and to provide an image forming apparatus, a control method, and a program.SOLUTION: A power supply device 200 includes a selection unit 203 and a determination unit 204. The selection unit 203 selects one of a first abnormal condition detection signal output from a first abnormal condition detection unit which detects an abnormal output state of a DC power source and a second abnormal condition detection signal output from a second abnormal condition detection unit which detects an abnormal output state of an AC power source, according to first mode which applies a DC voltage to a load or second mode which applies a superimposed voltage obtained by superimposing an AC voltage on a DC voltage to the load. The determination unit 204 determines an abnormal output state of the power source when the first or second abnormal condition detection signal selected by the selection unit 203 is input. |
