PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which detects surface information of a fixing member accurately.SOLUTION: A color printer 100 includes a surface information detection apparatus comprising a reflective optical sensor 200 and a detection unit 300. The detection unit 300 detects surface information by use of a first light quantity correction coefficient to be calculated based on the light quantity of a plurality of light spots applied on a fixing member, and a second light quantity correction coefficient to be calculated based on a detection result of a plurality of light-receiving units in each of a first use state on the use time of the image forming apparatus and a second use state longer in use time than the first use state. |
