PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent that adsorbs and removes a cesium ion and/or a potassium ion in a solution, further enables desorption/regeneration and can be repeatedly used.SOLUTION: The adsorbent composed mainly of a hydrous aluminosilicate containing sodium for adsorbing a cesium ion and/or a potassium ion in a region of weak acidity to weak alkalinity can be produced by using a water-soluble silicon compound, a water-soluble aluminum compound and an alkali raw material to react them in a solution of a region from weak acidity to weak alkalinity of a pH of 6-8.0 and performing cleansing/drying/heat treatment. The adsorbent desorbs a cesium ion and/or a potassium ion in a region of weak acidity and/or a region of weak alkalinity and can be regenerated and reused.
