PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate that is a polarizing plate with a protective film on one surface thereof, in which moisture resistance is improved without polishing a cut surface.SOLUTION: The polarizing plate with a protective film on one surface thereof comprises a single polarizing plate protective film and a polarizer; and the polarizing plate includes less than 9.0 points where an absolute value B(n) represented by (formula 2):B(n)=A(n)-A(n-1) (where n≥1) is 0.5 or more. In (formula 2), A(n) is defined by (formula 1):A(n)=T(n)-T(n-1) (where n≥1); n represents a distance (μm) along a thickness direction on a cross section of the polarizing plate, from one surface of the polarizing plate along a line which is drawn from a specified position on the outermost surface of the polarizing plate in a direction that is orthogonal to the surface and along the thickness of the polarizing plate; and T(n) represents a distance (μm) from the point on the line which is drawn from the specified position on the outermost surface of the polarizing plate in the direction that is orthogonal to the surface and along the thickness of the polarizing plate, the point where the distance in the thickness direction is n (μm), to one cut surface of the polarizing plate, measured along a direction parallel to the outermost surface of the polarizing plate. |
