PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition device and an object detection device provided with the information acquisition device that enable an influence of disturbance light to be prevented.SOLUTION: An information acquisition device comprises: a projection part 100 that projects infrared light to a target area; an imaging part 200 that images the target area by a CMOS image sensor 240; a light source control part 21a that controls the projection part 100; an imaging signal process circuit 23; and a distance acquisition part 21b that acquires distance information on the basis of a luminance value acquired by the imaging signal process circuit 23. The light source control part 21a emits the infrared light at a light-on timing p1, and stops emitting the infrared light at a light-off timing p2. The distance acquisition part 21b specifies a disturbance light area O on the basis of a difference between luminance values of a light-up image acquired in response to the light-up timing p1 and a light-off image acquired in response to the light-off timing p2, and acquires the distance information on the basis of a luminance value in an area other than the specified disturbance light area O.
