PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve shagginess at an edge portion generated due to a dot diameter size in representing gradation by using ink droplets of plural dot diameter sizes.SOLUTION: An image processing device includes: an ink droplet replacement determination section 10 for calculating a diagonal-line pixel zone constituting a diagonal line portion of an input image by matching of the input image with a predetermined mask pattern and determining, as a replacement pixel, a pixel zone not included in the diagonal-line pixel zone of an edge pixel zone constituting an edge portion of the input image; a half-tone processing section 13 for applying half-tone processing to the input image; and an ink droplet replacement section 14 for replacing an ink droplet for the half-tone processed image so that an ink droplet size is uniform for the replacement pixel in the pixel zone determined by the ink droplet replacement determination section 10.
