<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire electric discharge machining apparatus that is improved in machining accuracy of a workpiece by facilitating the alignment of a wire electrode with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A wire electric discharge machining apparatus is provided for machining a workpiece in the Y-axis (one vertical axial direction) with electric discharge machining by performing multi-axis control and making a wire electrode travel along the Z-axis direction (one horizontal axial direction). The apparatus includes an inclination adjusting mechanism 18 that turns the wire electrode suspended between a pair of wire guides 17, 17 in a V-axis direction in a range of a predetermined angle, by suspending the wire electrode in a tensioned condition along the Z-axis direction between the pair of wire guides 17, 17, and setting the direction for turning the wire electrode suspended between the pair of wire guides 17, 17 integrally with the pair of wire guides as a V-axis centering on a turning shaft parallel to the X-axis (one horizontal axial direction) perpendicular to the Z-axis direction. By the inclination adjusting mechanism 18, a workpiece machining point in the wire electrode suspended between the pair of wire guides 17, 17 is configured to always exist on the central axis of the turning shaft.</p> |
