PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analyzer appropriately cleaning a nozzle, a cleaning method of the nozzle, and a cleaning member holder.SOLUTION: An automatic analyzer includes: a sample dispensation mechanism having a sample dispensation nozzle; a sample rack 7 capable of installing a sample container; a cleaning member holder 120 having a cleaning member and fitted so as to move together with the sample rack 7; a sample conveyance mechanism capable of moving the sample rack 7 to a sample sampling position together with the cleaning member holder 120; a pinch mechanism 110 having an arm 115 capable of holding the cleaning member of the cleaning member holder 120 conveyed to the sample sampling position; and a control unit controlling the sample conveyance mechanism, sample dispensation mechanism and pinch mechanism.
