<p>The purpose of the present invention is to lighten a backlight chassis and improve the rigidity thereof, and to efficiently diffuse the heat generated from a light emission element without generating optical unevenness. A liquid crystal display device (1) is provided with the following: a light guide plate (4) that internally diffuses the light from a light source LED (9) and then emits such light; a liquid crystal panel (2) that is disposed on the front side of the light guide plate (4), modulates the light emitted from the light guide plate (4), and conducts display; a backlight chassis (6) that is disposed on the rear side of the light guide plate (4); and metal outer circumferential frames (7a-7d) that are attached to the periphery of the backlight chassis (6). A light source substrate (9) is attached to one of the outer circumferential frames. The backlight chassis (6) has at least a resin member (63) and a plate-shaped metal member (62) fixed to the rear side of the resin member. The outer circumferential frames (7a-7d) and the metal member (62) of the backlight chassis (6) are in contact.</p> |
