PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods for haptic and gesture-driven paper simulation.SOLUTION: A method includes the steps of: receiving an electronic document; receiving metadata which is associated with the electronic document and has a characteristic indicating a type of paper; generating and transmitting a display signal configured to cause display of at least a portion of the document; and generating and transmitting a haptic signal, which is configured to cause a haptic device to generate a haptic effect, on the basis of the type of paper. |
