PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting rotary machine which maintains proper operation by suppressing temperature rise in a gap portion between a stator and a rotor.SOLUTION: A superconducting rotary machine is constituted so that a stator 10 and a rotor 20 are immersed into a coolant by filling a case 2 with the coolant to maintain a superconducting material in a superconducting state. By providing a coolant passage 26 which connects an intake part 24 formed on a side surface 20W of a rotor 20 and a drainage part 25 formed on an outer peripheral surface 20S of the rotor 20, during rotation of the rotor 20, the coolant taken-in from the intake part 24 is sent from the coolant passage 26 to the drainage part 25, the coolant is positively supplied to the gap portion between the inner peripheral surface of the stator 10 and the outer peripheral surface of the rotor 20 to discharge foams, and then temperature rise in the gap portion is suppressed. |
