<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a spatial frequency response characteristic of an image generated by reading, irrespective of the paper thickness of a manuscript, in an image reading device using a reading sensor for reading a manuscript at a set focal distance.SOLUTION: The image reading device includes: a manuscript reading unit for reading a manuscript at the set focal distance; a paper thickness acquisition unit for acquiring information related to a manuscript paper thickness; and a spatial frequency response characteristic correction unit for correcting the spatial frequency response characteristic of the image read by the manuscript reading unit, using a correction parameter for use for the correction of the spatial frequency response characteristic of an image corresponding to the acquired paper thickness.</p> |
