A rocker fitting for placement between two furniture parts comprises a bushing 1 and a pin 2 arranged for insertion in a central bore in the bushing. The pin 2 is conically tapered and has an external shape corresponding to the central bore of the bushing 1. Between the bore of the bushing and the outer surface of the pin there is placed a bearing bushing 3 made of nylon or some other hard-wearing, low-friction material. The bushing 1 and the pin 2 are held flexibly together by means of a screw 4, the head 5 of which bears against the end face of the bushing 1 via an elastic washer 6. Fastened to the bushing and the pin are radially projecting fixing arms 7 and 8 respectively. The conical configuration of the pin 2 and the bushing 1 allows the contact pressure between the pin 2 and the bushing 1 to be continuously adjusted by adjustment of the tightening of the screw 4. Stresses in the longitudinal direction of the pin 2 are absorbed by the elastic washer 6. <IMAGE>
