MAGNETIC TAPE

摘要

The magnetic tape is consisted of a polymer in the anisotropic phase bearing a magnetic layer. The polymer forms an anisotropic melt phase and is melt processable. The polymer may contain one or more of (1) other polymers which form an anisotropic melt phase, (2) thermoplastics which do not form an anisotropic melt phase, (3) thermosetting resins, (4) low mol. wt. org. compds., and (5) inorganic compds. The substrate material has an excellent mechanical strength and dimensional stability under conditions of changing temp. and humidity, thus allowing an increase in recording density by using extremely thin base film.
