The apparatus for determining the type of an analog sensor includes a determination module configured to receive an output signal output from the sensor and output a determination reference signal for determining the type of the sensor, and a controller configured to apply the output signal from the sensor to the determination module and determine the type of the sensor using the determination reference signal output from the determination module.
