Provided is an electrophoresis device which contributes to the improvement of analysis accuracy. The electrophoresis device comprises a planar heat generating body, and a control unit. The planar heat generating body receives a power supply from a power source, and comprises a self temperature control function. The control unit controls the power supply from the power source to the planar heat generating body during electrophoresis using a capillary that extends in a first direction inside a microchip. Moreover, the planar heat generating body supplies heat to the capillary, and is arranged so as to cause the heat of the capillary to be uniform.
