At least one sound producing unit is provided axially along the support framework, and each sound producing unit is formed of a planar vibrating membrane for emitting sound waves by vibration, a frame mounted along the periphery of the planar vibrating membrane, and a drive device for vibrating the planar vibrating membrane in response to a sound signal and an action; a non-contact space is provided on each of the two sides of a trench portion disposed on the support framework, the non-contact space is a chamfer provided on the bottom of the trench portion along the outer side and disposed on the support framework, and the frame mounted along the periphery of the planar vibrating membrane is adhered onto the trench portion disposed on the support framework. The present invention has desirable output frequency characteristics, can also be thinned at high input power, and transmits sound with forward directionality.</p> |
