PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor for a large-sized permanent magnet type rotary machine having high output and demagnetization resistance, and the permanent magnet type rotary machine.SOLUTION: A rotor 11 is used for a permanent magnet type rotary machine 10. In the rotor 11, one or more permanent magnets 13 are embedded in each of a plurality of insertion holes which are provided in a circumferential direction inside a rotor core 12. The permanent magnet type rotary machine 10 comprises the rotor 11 and a stator 15 which is disposed on an outer circumferential surface of the rotor 11 via a cavity and in which a coil 17 is wound around a stator core 16 including a plurality of slots. The permanent magnet type rotary machine 10 is disclosed which is characterized in that a coercive force in a surface area of the permanent magnet 13 closer to the stator is greater than a coercive force in an internal center portion in depth of at least 5 mm from an entire external surface of the permanent magnet 13 by 300 kA/m or more. The permanent magnet type rotary machine 10 is disclosed which comprises the rotor 11 and the stator 15 which is disposed on the outer circumferential surface of the rotor 11 via the cavity and in which the coil 17 is wound around the stator core 16 including the plurality of slots. |
