PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for alkali batteries which is made of wet type nonwoven fabric, and which is superior in the uniformity of air permeability, large in tensile strength, and high in liquid retentivity, hard to cause a short circuit, and high in heat seal bonding strength.SOLUTION: A separator for alkali batteries comprises a wet type nonwoven fabric which includes polyolefin fiber having an average fiber diameter of 5.0-8.0μm, exclusive of 5.0μm, and polyolefin fiber having an average fiber diameter of 8.0-13.0μm, exclusive of 8.0μm. |
