Provided is a communication system that can promote efficient data transfers along transmission paths in the communication system that uses a multiplex mode. Data extraction units (123A, 123B) in an optical radio device (92) extract, on the basis of the starting bits of data (D3, D4), the data (D3, D4) outputted from cameras (46, 47), and output the data (D3, D4) to first buffers (125A, 125B) disposed in such a manner that the first buffers (125A, 125B) are associated with the respective ones of the cameras (46, 47).
