An electric power steering apparatus comprises a motor; a worm shaft provided with a worm gear and receives the output of the motor; a worm wheel meshed with the worm gear; a bearing assembly supporting the worm shaft; and a biasing member supporting the bearing assembly toward the worm wheel at radial of the worm shaft. The biasing member has a ring-shape surrounding the outer circumferential surface of the bearing assembly. Back-lash of gear transmission area generated by drastic change of rotation direction of the worm shaft through operation of motor during driving, vibration, shock transferred from a wheel, abrasion of gear tooth due to the progress of the durability, and the like can be fundamentally removed. Thus, the present invention can effectively block various noises and can prevent reduction of steering feel and dynamic conduct performance caused by defective meshing of the gear tooth.
