Provided is a tape cartridge, and the like, wherein detection target sections of a tape-like member are prevented from coming into contact with a finger, or the like, when an exposure area, which exposes the detection target sections, is provided to a cartridge case. The tape cartridge is provided with a label tape (101), which has a plurality of label sections (105) and a plurality of detection target sections (109), and a cartridge case. In order to detach a label section (105) at a detachment location (112) on the label tape (101) at a cutting position (P3) outside of the cartridge case, the label tape (101) is mounted to a tape feeder that feeds the label tape (101) on the basis of the detection of the passing of the detection target sections (109). An exposure area, which exposes each detection target section (109), is formed in the cartridge case. A distance (L1) to the upstream end of the exposure area with respect to the cutting position (P3) is shorter than a distance (L2) between a detection leading edge (109a) of a detection target section (109) corresponding to a given label section (105), and the detachment location (112) of a label section (105) adjacent to the aforementioned label section (105) on a discharge leading edge side. |
