The present invention provides an apparatus for correcting flexure in the shape of′C′. The apparatus can correct both convex flexure and concave flexure. The apparatus includes: a pair of correcting rolls (2) which are arranged on a side of a plate surface of a strip (S) to be extended in the widthwise direction of a plate and are able to press the strip (S) from the side of a plate surface of the strip (S); and a pair of second correcting rolls which are arranged under the first correcting rolls (2) on the side of the plate surface of the strip (S) to be extended in the widthwise direction of the plate and can press the strip (S) from the side of the plate surface. Shaft (11, 12) of the correcting rolls (2) and the other correcting rolls (3) are inclined in the vertical direction. The correcting rolls (2) and the other correcting rolls (3) are horizontally symmetric with respect to an approximately center location in the widthwise direction of the strip (S). The inclination direction of the correcting rolls (2) and the other correcting rolls (3) can be reversed according to the direction of flexure generated in the strip (S). |
