The present invention relates to a collateral monitoring system and a collateral monitoring method to monitor the state of a collateral security. The present invention includes: a collateral security which is provided from a debtor to a creditor as collateral in case of a secured loan; a collateral terminal which generates event information by being installed in the collateral security and sensing a change sign of the collateral security; a central management server which receives the event information generated in the collateral terminal through a wired/wireless communication network and manages the event information by dividing the risk degree of the event information into an initial generation step and a change generation step; and an observer terminal which checks a change situation of the collateral security according to the risk degree of the event information which is transmitted from the central management server through the wired/wireless communication network. Thereby, the present invention is able to prevent the extinction of a collateral security by checking a change situation of the collateral security step by step as a direct check of the site situation of the collateral security since the change generation step means a movement of the collateral security and the collateral security is traced and attentively managed especially in the initial generation step by frequently checking events and a risk degree which are change signs generated in the collateral terminal. |
