<p>The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a water repellent knitted fabric and a water repellent knitted fabric. The manufacturing method comprises: a raw yarn dyeing step of dyeing raw yarns containing natural fibers; a knitting step of obtaining a knitted fabric by knitting the dyed raw yarns; a water repellent liquid dipping step of dipping the knitted fabric into water repellent liquid; an incomplete drying step of drying the knitted fabric processed in the water repellent liquid dipping step; a heat setting step of applying heat to the knitted fabric processed in the incomplete drying step to stick the water repellent liquid to the knitted fabric; a water washing step of washing the knitted fabric processed in the heat setting step using water; and a drying step of drying the knitted fabric processed in the water washing step. In the water repellent knitted fabric according to the present invention formed as described above, the water repellent liquid is permeated and stuck into the tissue of the raw yarns constituting the knitted fabric, so the knitted fabric has excellent air-permeable water repellency and the air-permeable water repellency is maintained for a long time. Further, the water repellent liquid can be stuck selectively on both surfaces or one outer surface of the knitted fabric, so even when underwear is made using the knitted fabric, the underwear can be comfortably worn without a decrease in wearability.</p> |
