As described above and additionally defined in the following claims, the present invention provides a method for producing an ophthalmic lens having a stabilization feature and a rigid insertion body. Herein, the stabilization feature can allow the ophthalmic lens to be oriented when arranged in an eye. In some embodiments, the stabilization feature may be included as a specific reactive monomer mixture having characteristics different from those of an encapsulating RMM. In other embodiments, a stabilization feature including separate insertion body pieces may be included. In alternative embodiments, a rigid insertion body may include a stabilization feature based on, for example, a thermoforming technique. |
